Rich immigrants: Trump wants to lure rich people to the USA with a “Gold Card”

According to Donald Trump, rich immigrants should pay $5 million and receive unlimited residency in the USA. Top talents are welcome - and so are Russian oligarchs.
According to President Donald Trump, the US government wants to allow foreigners to acquire a visa known as a "Gold Card" for unlimited residency in the United States. According to Trump, acquiring this visa could cost $5 million. "A lot of people want to come to this country, and they are able to work and create jobs and build businesses and pay taxes, all that kind of thing," the Republican said in the White House.
When asked whether this also applies to Russian oligarchs, Trump replied that it was "probably" - he could certainly imagine that oligarchs were among those interested. He knows "a lot of nice people" there.
Program targets IT expertsThe program is intended to replace the existing EB5 investor visa and also open up a path to permanent citizenship, as Trump said. The money raised through the Gold Card should be used to reduce national debt.
Trump explained that he is counting on this program to bring many IT experts into the country who will invest money in the USA. Tech companies like Apple and other companies can bring top talent from all over the world into the country. The program is aimed at wealthy people as well as those with special talents whose financially strong sponsors - be they companies or individuals - pay for their visa.
